Wilderness Aware Rafting has been taking white water enthusiasts down some of Colorado’s most beautiful rivers on guided rafting trips since 1976. Come join us for an epic Colorado river rafting adventure! At Wilderness Aware Rafting, we offer a variety of white water rafting trips suitable for families and all skill levels, including mild water float trips, fast-paced and splashy beginner/intermediate trips, action-packed advanced white water, and multi-day overnight camping trips.

Visitors to Colorado can experience 30 adrenaline-infused white water trips down five of the state’s most beautiful rivers, all within easy drive from anywhere within the state. Although transportation is included in the cost of each trip, there are designated meeting points for each one. Wilderness Aware Rafting will then transport you to the river for the start of your trip and return you to your vehicle at the end of your trip. Our most popular rafting river is the Arkansas River, offering 95 miles of thrilling whitewater. Our Arkansas River rafting trips range in duration from short half-day trips to multi-day trips up to five days. Whichever trip you choose, you won’t lack excitement.

This wild and scenic river is home to four famous sections; Browns Canyon, Narrows, Numbers, and Royal Gorge. The most popular section of whitewater in Colorado is Browns Canyon. The its challenging rapids and natural pool-drop flow of the river providing breaks between rapids, Browns Canyon offers fantastic white water rafting for all levels of experience, from families, adult groups, scouts, camps, individuals, and even children as young as 7 years of age. The Narrows section offers nonstop action and thrills while successfully making the technical moves between boulders in fast, choppy water. The river is very fast here with very few calm pools to relax before the next set of rapids. During high water, Numbers turns into world class whitewater with Class IV-V rapids. This section of the river is offered to Advanced whitewater enthusiasts ages 14+ who seek an epic Arkansas River white water adventure. The most popular extreme trip in the state, the Royal Gorge section offers Class IV-V rapids to Advanced rafters. Drop after drop of pounding whitewater framed by stunning sheer cliffs over 1,000 feet high and views of one of the world’s highest suspension bridge means adrenaline-laced excitement for you and your friends.
